i need some serious help from someone who can tell me how to connect my old apple cinema display 22 inch monitor to the new apple mac mini computer. It has a 30 pin DVI connector plug coming off the monitor. Can anyone tell me what I need to get this connected ???

You need either an HDMI to DVI adapter or a Mini DisplayPort to DVI one.

The DVI cable coming off my 22 inch apple display monitor has 30 pins with 4 pins (in a square) next to it. The mini displayport to DVI connector cable only has holes for 24 pins and doesnt have the 4 pin holes. wish I could post a photo of the cable plug on my monitor here so you could see what I'm talking about.
That’s an ADC connector, not a DVI one. You need an ADC to DVI adapter as well as the one listed above.
