    Hi  Daphne Jones,

     

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you have a question about how iTunes is supposed to charge credit cards. You did not mention what kind of charge it was. I would recommend you read this article, it may be able to help troubleshoot the issue. 

     

    How iTunes Store purchases are billed - Apple Support

    All fees will be billed to the credit card or PayPal account you designate during the registration process.

    When you make a purchase, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits. Your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
