Q: My iMac constantly wakes at 2am with RTC (Alarm)
My iMac has been waking at 2am from sleep, it first started at 2am on 29th October.
iMac details:
27" iMac (Mid 2011)
2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor
16 GB Memory
AMD Radeon HD Graphics Card
OS X El Capitan Version 10.11
Every time I put my it to sleep, it wakes again. I hear the drive spinning for a few seconds before going to sleep again, but the screen remains off. This happens throughout the night (unless I shutdown), and it's driving me mad as it wakes me up constantly.
I've checked on some forums and have no USB devices connected and only my wireless keyboard and mouse (both of which are the original Apple products that came with the iMac).
I've checked the wake reason in Terminal and found this: <Notice>: Wake reason: RTC (Alarm).
Can anybody help me find out what this means and how I can stop it? I have no schedules start up or shut downs. I have unchecked "Wake for network access" in Energy Saver and have reset my NVRAM (or PRAM) and SMC. I even tried turning off my WiFi last night, but it still did it!
HELP!!!
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
