MacBook Pro Yosemite 10.10.5 won't print. Identifies printer and goes through print routine then logo disappears and won't print

MacBook Pro Yosemite 10.10.5 won't print. It identifies printer, goes through 'printing routine' normally but at moment when printer should start working the printer icon/logo disappears and nothing happens. Printer is HP Desktop 2050A
