Outlook (Hotmail) not working with Safari

I'm having difficulty using outlook (hotmail) web access using my iphone 5 ios 9.1

I'm not talking about the OUTLOOK app, I'm talking about going to hotmail.com in the safari app. (it redirects to outlook.live.com)

I believe they changed their website recently, and now to select a message you swipe to the left. (instead of selecting the check mark box)

In any event, most of the time , 9 / 10 attempts, when I go to the webmail, I am unable to select the message, I am unable to view the message. I have to reload the page over and over and over again, until when I click the message or swipe the message, it works.

Really have no idea whats going on. Wondering if anyone else had this experience?

I'm not interested in using the outlook app, so other suggestions would be appreciated. Everything works fine on the desktop.

Why not try downloading another browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, and use that?

Edit: I used CHROME for ios, and same result. I can see my messages, but cannot view them or select them.

If the problem resides with safari for ios, then there should be a number of people with the same problem! I can't be the only one still using hotmail!

If the problem is with my device, then I'd like to get suggestions on how to fix it. It seems like a web programming issue to me, but what do I know.

It must be your device; I was able to select and view my Hotmail messages using Safari on my iPhone 6S. I would go into Settings > Safari and clear History and Website Data and try it again. A forced restart wouldn't hurt, either - swipe up on all recently used apps before doing so just to be sure. Best of luck!
