Q: 10 second skip is unreliable on Siri remote

For the first few days of using my new 4th generation Apple TV, I thought the 10-second skip function wasn't working at all. If I rested my thumb on the right or left sides of the trackpad while a movie was playing, I'd get the 10 second skip icon, but clicking the trackpad wouldn't do anything.

I eventually discovered that I simply wasn't squeezing hard enough. Squeezing lightly on the left or right edges is enough to get the trackpad to click, but not enough to transmit a signal to the Apple TV. I have to squeeze harder to both feel the click and get the TV to respond.

Are other people having this problem? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth taking my Apple TV and Siri remote into the genius bar to have them checked, or whether this is a universal issue that I just need to live with.
