Q: Different Options for "My Music"/Playlists Than Other Tracks/Playlists

Apple Music on the Apple TV treating "My Music" tracks and my self-created playlists differently than tracks that come up via search/"For You"/etc.  and Apple Music-curated playlists.

For tracks:  When I hold down the remote over a track in, say, "For You", the screen changes and I'm given several options.  When I go to "My Music" and hold down the remote over a track, these options don't appear.  Nothing happens, except that the song plays once I release the remote.

For playlists:  In the playlists I added to "My Music", there are options on the right side of the screen.  In the playlists I created and uploaded to iCloud, these options are not there.  Further, all of my uploaded playlists (not the Apple Music-curated lists) are limited to 250 songs, and there's no option to shuffle.  I have no choice but to listen to them in order.

This is all very frustrating.  Is Apple Music treating "My Music" and playlists differently than the other songs?  I'm going to hope this is temporary and not intended.  At this point, using Apple Music over Apple TV Gen 4 is a downgrade from how I was using the service:  AirPlay to my Apple Gen. 3, streaming from iPad/iPhone/Mac.

Thanks in advance for help on this.  Again, I really hope this is temporary and will be fixed (hopefully we don't have to wait until 2016 when Siri comes to Apple Music - another big disappointment).

There are some interesting threads about these two problems, both in this section, and on the apple TV thread, but after a lot of people trying different things, the answer that has worked for me is to share your playlists (you can just mail them to yourself). For some unknown reason, as soon as you do this, the other options appear on Apple TV immediately, and I have also noticed today that the whole playlist is present (well, almost. None of my playlists have quite the same number of songs as on my other devices, but there is certainly no 250 limit.) Why this should be is another matter, but this is at least a temporary workaround

Thanks so much for this workaround.  It worked perfectly (who knows why, but that's beside the point).  I had the same issues as you, with some playlists having different amounts of songs.  But I don't have the energy to sort our why.  At least that the playlists are basically complete and have the ability to be shuffled.  Also, the songs have options (when clicking/holding the remote on the track).

I did realize that some playlists aren't even visible.  But again - this is a good enough work around for now.  And I'll just hope these things get sorted out with future updates.

    Appreciate it.

In additional to having fewer tracks in a playlist on ATV4 than the iPhone and iPad, sometimes the tracks are just flat out wrong.  Example: substituting the studio track for a live track I had added to playlist. Any solutions?
