maps directions not available always

whenever I try to get directions from maps

on my iPhone 6 plus I get the following pop up notification / error that says the

following...

"Directions Not Available

Directions could not be found

between these locations."

It happens in all situations - using Current Location or a recently searched

destination. I've checked Settings, Notifications, Location Services, etc.

Anyone have any idea what this is all about or how to fix it?

same issue here. restart did not solve the issue.

Google Maps App is working fine though.

looks like i found the cause of the issue. as soon as maps tries to get directions from "current position" the error occurs. replace current position with an address it will find the directions as usual. 1. drop the pin where you want to go 2. tap "dropped pin" up above drive walk apps 3. change "current location" to an actual address looks like a bug. still does not work in all the cases.
