Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Apple Caching Server seems to stop third party content from downloading.

I had three AppleTV apps not able to work until I turned off my local IOS caching server.


That's a pain for those invested in the ecosystem because the caching server is *the* way to speed up multiple updates across many devices.


For now, it's staying off, but if anyone finds a workaround to just exclude the atv from caching, I'm all ears. I had to:


Uninstall apps with failed third party content.

Turn off OS X server app caching.

Restart ATV

Reinstall apps.

OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Had the same issue. As soon as I disabled the caching service on my server the apps with additional content download like Transistor, started to work.
