OD error message "(FATAL : Could not retrieve HOST GUID for parent)

I am trying to make one of my XSAN Metadata Controllers an Open Directory Replica.

and get this error in the last few seconds of the process. The controller is reported as being a controller but until I get

the OD issue solved it can not be used in a fail over scenario! Any Ideas?

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.2), Thunderbolt display issues
