How do I kill the **** "APPLE ID VERIFICATION' box that comes up on my iPad.. and NO: the sign off iCloud then sign on iCloud avice offered by Apple does NOT work.

There is no "Click Turn off two-step verification" option on my Apple account page. How do I kill the **** "APPLE ID VERIFICATION' box that comes up on my iPad.. and NO: the sign off iCloud then sign on iCloud avice offered by Apple does NOT work.

And - although I have carefully and accurately entered my APPLE ID as requested multiple times - this message comes back every time I turn the iPad Air2 on from a cold boot. Again, and Again, and Again - no matter how many times I comply and enter my APPLE ID.

A modest update: As the "Apple ID Verification / Enter the password for # # in Settings" box continues to come up very time I booth the iPad, I've searched and found multiple other instances where others experience this problem. iPhone users report similar problems: http://forums.imore.com/iphone-6s/346149-why-my-iphone-6s-randomly-asking-apple- id-verification.html and there are multiple links recommending resetting the WiFi connections: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support and/or signing off iCloud then getting back on it. (see above).

No joy. None of the tricks have worked so far. Is there another trick I might use? - - - Thanks ....
