Which will not work with Apple apps. See this from their FAQ list: Apple does not provide native mouse support for iOS. The Citrix X1 Mouse communicates directly with Citrix Receiver as opposed to communicating with iOS. Citrix X1 Mouse and Citrix Receiver utilize Apple’s publically supported APIs to establish the Bluetooth communication (BLE) between the X1 Mouse and Citrix Receiver. The mouse functionality is only available on XenApp and XenDesktop hosted apps and desktops and Citrix ShareConnect, ShareConnect and GoToMyPC mobile apps, the mouse will not function for other iOS apps. The mouse can also be used on a non-iOS device, in which case the X1 Mouse behaves just like a standard Bluetooth 4.0 mouse.

Me too. I use the iPad to connect remotely to my Microsoft Windows workstation at my office. That's why I need a mouse.
Why did buy a device that doesn't do what you want, is it your normal method to spend money on the wrong thing?
There will not be mouse support for the iPad, do yourself a favor and sell it.
To all naysayers. Steve Jobs supposedly said a touch screen laptop is not a good idea as your arms would get tired very quickly reaching for the screen all the time. A valid observation. Conversely, a touch screen device being promoted as a computer that could be used to do heavy duty computing tasks still cannot be a full time device to complete an 8 hr work day. No matter how powerful the ipad pro continue to become in the future, it will remain a part-time device until the user is able to rest their arms while manipulating the screen - for exactly the same reason Jobs said a touchscreen laptop is a bad idea. Its worth noting that the ipad started as a lounging device as demonstrated by Steve jobs at its introduction but its current positioning is not quite that. Its actually a bit muddled right now, with its referencing desktops and laptops. Perhaps because they are in the middle of a transition and possible merger of product lines, we dont know. But they have added desktop like file management capabilities to ios11, not with the iphone in mind but rather the ipad pro. They obviously want to push the capabilities of the ipad pro towards that of a mac and accordingly expanding ios capablities. Despite this trend, its possible Apple does not envision the ipad pro to ever become a full 8hr workday computer in which case we may never see a trackpad/mouse capability and it will forever remain a part-time device. Somehow I doubt thats what in store in the years ahead. If the ipad pro margins are higher than that for macbooks any canabilization would be to apples benefit. I also doubt very much Apple cannot find a way to add pointer capabilities seamlessly without interefering with touch, which seems to be a concern for the naysayers.

... There you go.. official support of mouse on a limited scale on iOS.
That is not Official support on iOS at any level. It simply allows some bluetooth RDP commands to be passed through a VPN connection to a remote computer. You CANNOT use this to manipulate iOS. Period.
If bugging Apple is too much, and community support is bad,
Clicking a feedback link is too much? And the community giving multiple answers to their questions is bad? Whatever.
Since dev can implement swiftpoint API.
Not for use in iOS, they can't.
PLEASE REMOVE ME!!!!!!! THAT IS MY WISH!!!!
So, screaming at me does what?
I feel a bit like HAL in 2001:A Space Odyssey. "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"
My advice is just stop posting. Unsubscribe to this conversation and it will go away.
Unlikely. The iPad Pro will run the same iOS as any other current iPad wich do not support mice.
If you need a mouse, then you should be looking for a MacBook, not an iPad.
Oh yeah I have a Mac, iPhone, Apple TV LOL
Just would love to see support in the future on the iPad for mouse since it nicely supports the keyboard now.

iPads have supported keyboards since the original iPad.
The iPad has always supported the Keyboard since it a logical way to enter text. But Mice have never been in Apple's design scheme for iPads.
There is no mouse pointer to control, and all interactions in apps, and the Os itself are designed for touch. iOS would need to be re-designed for the Mouse to make functional sense.
i.e a mouse interaction, pointers, and tracking mouse location on screen. It may seem simple to add mice, but for a device that has was conceived, created and designed from the get go to be touch based, the Mouse does not make sense, and would require a fundamental redesign of the interface.
Simply put, the iPad is not a device that has ever been intended to be used with a mouse, and its very unlikely it will ever be.
I use databases and would like it if iPad Pro would support a mouse. Being a touch only device makes it hard for resizing and other quick design techniques I'm used to on a desktop. A mouse, in this instance, would suit for this purpose. After all, it is meant to be a versatile device.
Although I don't have any jailbroken devices, I have seen the mouse feature unlocked through that method. You can't tell me that iOS would have to be altered when the ability is already there.

I think perhaps you don't understand what jailbreaking is. It doesn't mean unlocking things that are already there. It means unlocking the security that Apple put in place that prevents changes to the OS. Once the security is removed, people change the OS. So yes, iOS would need to be changed.
Hi,
Android was also built at first sight for touch support only, but Bluetooth mice are supported, it does not disrupt any existing OS design or touch behavior at all, both are available simultaneously, the only thing it adds is a 'visual pointer', that is used to point and click, as you do with your finger, your finger is your pointer.
But where mouse support is a big 'advantage', is when you need to connect to a Windows Remote Desktop (RDP), let say in fullscreen, without mouse you just cannot do it efficiently, with any of the existing RDP client apps from appstore.
So if iOS10 include Bluetooth mouse support, I would definitively be able to use my iPad as a PC replacement, either to access remotely my Home PC or my Office PC.
Best,
Kristo.
