Q: iPad Air 2 screen not working all of a sudden. What should I do? There’s no cracks nor damage (that I can see). Thanks.

iPad Air 2 screen not working all of a sudden.

As in, the screen in blank (black) and can’t even view whether my iPad is turned off or on as nothing appears on the screen.

What should I do?

There’s no cracks nor damage (that I can see).

Thanks.

Try to force it to reboot. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 - 30 seconds. If you see a silver apple, let go and let it finish rebooting and see if your screen comes back

    Hi Skydiver119,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, I tried doing that a bunch of times, actually, but the farthest it seemed to get was a dark blue screen and then back to black eventually. Thinking the battery might be dead, I let it charge for awhile before trying to reboot as you described again. However, I should note that while it was plugged in and charging the iPad kept making a somewhat soft *ding!* sound (the same sound as the new email alert except at a lower volume/not as loud) about every 5-7 seconds. Hmmm…?
