My lock button doesn't work, so I can't try the hold home and lock button to restart. When I connect the phone into my laptop, iTunes will give me these messages:

i have that same problem. if you restart your computer 90% of the time it will fix the problem or try using another USB port

I did and I updated iTunes to the latest version. My phone is still stuck on the screen and I'm still getting the same errors.
if you hold down the power button and the home botton together wait until you see the screen go black then plug your iphone back up to the computer..

Then unfortunately, you're out of luck. You'll need to bring the phone to Apple and discuss your available options.

If you have an iPhone 6 and up if you hold the power button and the top volume key it should do the same exact thing if that doesn't work just take your phone back to Apple
