Q: Photos on Apple TV

I installed my new Apple TV. I set it up to use my Apple ID as normal but I can see my photos and I do not want to. I have turned them off but the thing is, anyone using the device can turn them on again and view my photos. Since this is a shared device, I would like to disable it.

I logged onto iCloud.com and disabled photos, but they still show in photo stream on the Apple TV. How do I remove all photos from Photo Stream in iCloud? It is disabled now on all devices!

Thanks

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you are having these concerns with your new Apple TV. If you have turned off My Photo Stream in iCloud, and/or are looking for more information on deleting photos in My Photo Stream, you may find the information outlined in the following article helpful:

How do I delete photos from My Photo Stream?

You can delete photos from My Photo Stream on your iOS device or Mac when you tap   or click Delete.

On your PC, select the photos that you want to remove from My Photo Stream, right-click, and then select Delete. When you delete a photo from My Photo Stream on one device, it will be removed from Photos and iCloud. The photos you import from My Photo Stream to your other devices won’t be deleted.

What happens to my photos if I turn off My Photo Stream?

If you sign out of iCloud or turn off My Photo Stream on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, all of the photos in the My Photo Stream album are removed from that device. Any photos from My Photo Stream that you imported to the All Photos album and the Photos tab are also be removed.

The photos from My Photo Stream on your other devices aren't affected. Photos from My Photo Stream will stay on the iCloud server for 30 days from the date you upload them to My Photo Stream. If you sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID and turn on My Photo Stream on another device, the photos will automatically download.

Before turning off My Photo Stream, you should save any photos that you'd like to keep to your device. Learn more about saving your photos.

    NOT WORKING.....

    Here is the problem:

I have "Upload to my photos photostream" turned on on my IPhone 6S.......I also have photostream turned on on the new Apple TV 4th generation. If I take a new photo on my phone, the picture then uploads to my photostream on the apple tv real time.....if i then delete the photo on my phone, the photo is also then deleted from the apple tv photostream in real time.....HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGINS......lets say I take 5 photos and after I take those photos TURN OFF "upload to my photostream" on my phone, then decide to delete those 5 photos from my phone......the photos are now deleted from my phone, but ARE NOW PERMANENTLY LOCKED IN MY PHOTOSTREAM ON THE APPLE TV.....even after the photos are deleted from my phone (I even went to icloud.com and logged in my account to make sure the photos are deleted from my photstream, which they were). So now I am stuck with unwanted photos on my photostream that are deleted everywhere except Apple TV.......

THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF APPLE TV ALLOWED YOU TO HOLD DOWN THE SELECT BUTTON ON A PHOTO UNTIL IS SHOCK, AND THEN ALLOWED YOU TO DELETE IT..........UNFORTUNATELY, THE APPLE TV 4 DOES NOT HAVE THIS SAME FEATURE AND IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING BC IT IS A SIMPLE TASK.....WHO WANTS DELETED PHOTOS SHOWING UP ON YOUR PHOTOSTREAM?
