I can no longer access the Vodafone web site. "Failed to open page, server where page is located is not responding" . Can't find out what's blocking it. Everything else appears to be working fine

I have the same problem on my MacBook Pro/iPad/iPhone - no access to Vodafone's website. No problem with other sites.
On my iPhone, if I switch to 3G and turn off wifi then I can get access to to the website.
My ISP is Virgin Media.

I am still unable to access the Vodafone website via my home ISP - Virgin Media.
However, I have now had success in accessing the site via BT Broadband.
Is Virgin Media blocking access?
Last night I got the 'this page is under maintenance' message from Vodafone which was an improvement and today it seems to be fully back ... reckon it was Vodafone then
Well after all that it looks like it was a Vodafone server issue. Pity I couldn't find anything on the web about it. Thanks to the guys here who found info on the virgin media support pages.
In a way that's a bit of relief, I'm on virgin too. I thought I had a serious computer problem. I also can't get through on ipad or BB playbook but like you I can on my phone with wifi off.
I too am experiencing this problem although my ISP is a company called Hyperoptic. I can access if I set up a hotspot on my iPhone but cannot through my mac book pro since upgrading ... everything else seems fine ... any ideas? Have tried all the obvious ones.
Thanks for that ... I have just spent a while online with an Apple 'virtual' support agent, well I think he was virtual .. if real he didn't have much personality! All he could suggest was to restart in recovery mode which I've tried from where I undertook some first aid on my HD ... no difference at all!! Didn't fancy downloading Capitan again. Just seems strange I can access the Vodafone site from a Windows PC and from my iPad using the iPhone as a hotspot on 4G ok yet from my Mac Book Pro and my MAC Mini I can't.

The only change to my system was the upgrade to el capitan, but surely it can't be that? I have tried a roll back via time machine too, makes no difference
There is a thread running in the VirginMedia Support Community which is suggesting a problem with a Vodafone server - hopefully someone at Vodafone will take action......................
