Q: Video Render Error 60

There appears to be no explanation for this error or known fix, and I'm at my wit's end, so I thought I'd try asking here. Since Sunday 25th October, I've had to fight tooth and nail with FCPX to get any video to export, in any format, of any length, both directly to Youtube and as a Master File. Given that for a couple months before that it was operating fine, processing fast, and I've changed nothing in the meantime I can only assume this is because of an update.

However that doesn't help, I have a video release schedule to keep to and this is making videos late; for example on the 25th I started exporting to Youtube on the Sunday night, and after 18 hours is crashed with error 60. It took a long time and a lot of perseverance to get it exported and by then it was Tuesday.

If anyone knows a fix for render error 60, please let me know, this is incredibly frustrating. I'm honestly considering getting rid of FCPX and switching to Adobe Premiere Pro.

Final Cut Pro X, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

    What are your system specs?

What are the formats of the media used in your project?

    Did you optimize your clips?

How long are the projects (given the 18 hour processing)?

In Applications if you right click of the Final Cut Pro dot app icon >Get Info, is Prevent App Nap checked? If not, check it.

So has Prevent App Nap been checked all along,  or was that done recently? If it were done recently, has the computer been restarted since?

It hasn't been checked all along but I had no problems with FCP until now, so I've checked it, shut down the comp and rebooted.

    Photos for Mac

I have been getting the same error.  Using a MAC 27" with OX X Yosemite 10.10.5 and iMovie 10.1.1.  This is what I believe is happening.  I am editing the movie and trying to do some stabilizing of movie clips.  My project is a mixture of photos and movie clips.  When I finally gave iMovie time to catch up on the editing, which I believe is happening in the background, exported the movie directly to the MAC hard drive, not a portable or YouTube, then it worked.  It did take about 18 hours.  I used 1080P, High, Better Quality for the export.  Also, it seems to help to close iMovie and reopen before you export your project.  Hope this helps.
