Does iDrive allow links to be sent to friends like Dropbox?

Yes, you can share documents from within iCloud drive --

No. The iCloud Drive is only for syncing files between devices that are signed into the same iCloud account which would be only your devices. If you let others use your iCloud account you're opening your info and files to them. It's not like Dropbox where only the files are shared.
