Apple online chat support

Is it me but are the Apple 'chat support' guys poor at their job?

I have just spent close to an hour being told to do basic checks that didn't fix anything and then he closed the chat without anything being achieved! I assume because he didn't have the right 'script'!

I have tried to call them, set a call back, you name it but the system keeps saying that they are too busy to talk or unavailable.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. People here would be happy to help you. I'd suggest you start a new thread with a subject line that describes the problem you're having with your device. Explain what you're trying to do, what happens when you try, what error messages you're getting. And, to avoid people suggesting things you've already done, explain precisely what you've already done to troubleshoot the issue.

If you want to provide feedback to Apple, you can use the Feedback link:

http://www.apple.com/feedback

You can also call AppleCare and ask to speak to a supervisor. There is a Contact Us link at the bottom right of every page.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest, which is more than Apple. There is little point in providing feed back to them, as they don't care. They sell enough product without having to worry about client support. This is clearly shown by their support offerings.

I did speak to them directly via the chat system before they cut me off. Whilst they were on, the support offered was basic and obviously scripted. If I had provided such a poor level of service I would have been sacked! (I was a global operations and programme manager by trade).

In the end I put my tech hat on again and resolved the problem, which they should have had at their fingertips.

Anyway, lesson learnt, 'don't call Apple'!
