Accidently choose a wrong language in the setup process. Even if I restart Apple TV I'm stuck with this language. Drives me crazy. I have no chance to set Apple TV all the way up in this language or even come close to find the settings menu for a factory reset. Any help appreciated.

apple cant default the language of the country the thing is shipped to..

But I'm in the middle of the setup process. I'm not even close to find the settings. I asume the language is dutch and says something like Stel in met Aparaat. Stel handmating. Sounds interesting but I have no clue what it means. Yeah I can guess but really don't want to do the whole setup process in dutch.
I doubt the cable would do you good since you would not be, I take it, restoring it, correct?

I did already try. But I guess there is no other option then trying harder. ; ) I miss the good old times where devices had this little hole to reset it. Kind of funny that there is no way to get back to the language selection. Not really Apple like : ( But many thanks for your support!
If ATV is stuck on a screen with a foreign language and your remote will not respond try using your prior version ATV remote if you have one.
The old remote should work but if you can't read the screen language you'll have to contact Apple support. They can walk you through the screens and give you the selections that will allow you to set up the new ATV and pair the new remote.
Apple support can advise you if you don't have a prior version remote.

Sorry I didn't read your second suggestion. I don't have a USB-C cable and I hope I don't need to buy one just for changing the language
Thanks a lot for your help. Problem is I'm still setting it up. Means I need to put my Apple ID, choosing WIFI, etc. sounds easy enough, but believe me not in dutch. At least not for me ; )
