Q: Phone password not working during restoration?

Then you get a black screen and your trying to restore as new again? But you get an error message in but you fail to state what that error message is:

Okay so I system restored my Iphone, I put my password during the system restore, so the screen went black and I had to enter my passcode again and its not working now. I tried to restore it via itunes but it keeps saying theirs an error because I haven't connected it to a network yet. The error number is 39-
