Is there anyway to split screen with word documents??

Question

I just updated my Mac to OSX Captain.

I was 'exploring' the split screens and noticed I couldn't do it with word documents.

This would come in handy when working and I was just wondering if there was any possible way.

Is this that you are trying to do ?

If your using Word 2011, the application is not compatible with Split View.

I'm unsure if Word 2016 works.

Microsoft did enable Split View functionality in 2016.
