I have problem only with airplay. A week ago I had ATV3 and airplay from safari works perfect. I found a lot of people having same issue.

You're right, only YouTube is the problem... 😟
Same problem...Same EXACT deal as your video! The airplay icon in the tray turns blue, and it acts like it's functioning, but it isn't -- the video on the mac blanks for a second, then goes back to playing, and the ATV does nothing. I also have an ATV 3g. *** is going on here? It worked like a week ago...
I had ATV3 two weeks ago and there it was working fine, but then i exchanged it for ATV4 and there it isn't working. But it's possible that it stopped working meanwhile my ATV4 arrived and now it isn't working on ATV3 so that seems like youtube problem. But even so someone tried to update tvos 9.01? I can try it on saturday at first.

You are right. It is not working on youtube.com. Vimeo e.g. is working fine. Also airplay playback from the quicktime player works well.
I have an ATV3. As I said before: Last week everything worked fine.
this really seems to be a Youtube issue. I can use Airplay to stream from my Mac (2013, El Capitan latest) or iPhone 6 to my new Airport Express that is connected to my stereo. All works perfect and Youtube even shows the Airplay icon but if I click on it the menu items are grey and can't be clicked. Of course I can still stream Youtube from my Mac by using this method: http://is.gd/8TqA4Y
Anyway, it is not a perfect solution since all audio output from my Mac is sent to my stereo.
If Youtube Airplay would work properly only the Youtube sound would by streamed while other audio signals would still come out of my Mac's speakers.
I will try to report this issue to Google again...
