please my iphone 4s is in recovery mode and won't restore or update. Error message says 'an unknown error occurred (-1)'

please my iphone 4s is in recovery mode and wont recover or update.

i installed the latest itunes on my windows 7 64-bits and downloaded the latest ipsw update.

Error message being displayed says iphone could not be updated, an unknown error occurred (-1)

i disabled my antivirus and all firewall.

i edited the host and added 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to the last line of the file and saved.

i have updated my windows to the latest windows update available

all these i have done and yet the phone is still stuck in the recovery mode. showing connect to itunes logo.

please help me. what do i do to recover my phone?

@thunderzzz, i am not talking about apple id. i tried updating my phone from ios 7 to ios 9. my phone tried updating and towards the end displayed an error unknown with (-1). since then, it is stuck in the recovery mode. i tried restore and update still it wont come out of the recovery mode.

As a final step, try the DFU mode:

Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Press the Home button while holding the Power button and hold both for 10 seconds.
Release the Power button, but KEEP HOLDING the Home button.
After about 15 seconds, iTunes will tell you it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
Restore your device

i have done all that before i had to post the question here. i don't know what else to do. my phone now is in a mode such that when you power it on, within 3 seconds it displays apple logo then, plug cable with itunes logo and it stays that way untill i put it off.
