Q: After deleting iMovie 10.1 and then reinstalling, the still photo problems remain. Why?

After trying multiple iMac solutions (zapping the P-ram, booting in safe mode and repairing permissions) then deleting and reinstalling iMovie 10.1 (Thanks for your help Geoff ((GeeD)),), this persistent problem with Still images (.jpg files) remains.

The problem seems to be that importing any images via any method will not work at all in iMovie 10.1.

Importing seems to initially work but then highlighting (Double clicking the images) will not display in the viewer and goes totally Black in the Browser. A Total BLACK OUT and yet another Mystery with this App.

Selecting an image and placing it in the timeline displays the image in the timeline but won't show in the preview window. Scrubbing the image in the browser does not work and the same when its in the timeline. Methinks something is broken in this app. Awaiting an update (soon I hope) for 10.1
