HI
I am about to do a " YOSEMITE CLEAN INSTALL"
i have Yosemite on the purchased page of App store so I downloaded it and created a " install Yosemite OSX " on a usb flash drive
successfully .....now I am ready to erase "EL CAPITAN" and go back to Yosemite.....
a Bit apprehensive though ,....never gone as far as that but really needs must ...so to speak...
so wondering if anyone has performed this kind of install recently and if so what sort results ???

I havn't downgraded yet, but if you go with clean install option there might be no issue. Keep us updated 🙂
it's can and has been done:
If El Capitan is installed on the drive you wish to install Yosemite on the process involves reformatting your drive and doing a clean install, there is NO downgrade ability.
Another option is to use a new drive or new partition if it's available to you..
In any instance I highly recommend you backup your system before proceeding
if you have another drive or another partition you can create several bootable OS instance for your computer provided your computer supports those OS's
the end result is you have Yosemite
