Looking for a PDF Driver that will append a document to an already existing PDF.

I've recently switched from Windows where I use Nuance PDF creator. It had a feature I use all the time. When printing to the PDF as printer you could append by simply choosing the original file and saving the new file with the same name. A box would come up if you wanted to replace the original file, append as well as some other options.

MacUpDate is not a trusted site. They can include unwanted add ons, wrapping software in adware.

Your best bet is always from the developer directly or the App Store.

You have to exercise caution on any site that consolidates notifications and software updates, and promo. They have to make their money somehow, and adware is the meal ticket.

PDFPen doesn't have the function that I'm looking for. In fact it doesn't have a PDF print driver at all. Let me see if I can be more clear about the function I am looking for.

In this example you have a form you have completed and submitted online.

1. To keep a copy of the form after completion for our records we "print" a .pdf version of the form instead of actually printing it.

2. After completion we submit the form online.

3. After submission another page is displayed online that is confirmation we have completed the form.

4. I then want to send that confirmation to a pdf file.

Now here's where the function I need comes in. Let's say I named the original .pdf form "XYZ.pdf".

5. If I name the confirmation page the same name in Nuance PDF in Windows I would get a dialog box asking how I wanted to deconflict the fact that I am naming the form the same. These options were Replace, add a number to the file name or append to the original document. The last is what I used.

This allows me to have one file with both pages in it.

I'm well aware of many programs that will allow me to combine pdf files after they exist. The function I'm looking for takes out the extra step of having to work with the files after they have been created.

If you have a PDF file with one or more pages in it, it is very easy to add pages to it just in Preview.app.

a. open the PDF file, click the most left icon top left (choose Thumbnails) to display the sidebar with the pages.

b. now drag the Pdf or jpg file you want to add, into the left sidebar. Move it where you want it.

c. Select all pages in the sidebar, then click "print" in the File menu;

d. in the print page select Save as PDF (lower left), and save. Yu now have the "cpmplete PDF saved.
