I can't see an entire text message thread on my watch.

I just purchased an Apple watch and I'm still figuring out how to use it. I was able to pair the watch with my phone without any probems. I got an imessage alert on my watch and viewed it, no problem there. I responded back the message on my phone. After I sent the message, I can't see the message I just sent back on my watch. We've texted back and forth several times and the only message I can see on my watch is the first one. Several minutes later, I got a message alert on my watch, from another person. I responded back to that person on my phone. Looking back at my watch, I can't see the latest message we sent back and forth. Side note: the settings in my watch app on my phone are to mirror my messge alerts on my phone. Any ideas on fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Please, help. Thank you.

Hi

The notifications list contains notifications about new incoming messages. To view the full conversation, open the Messages app on Apple Watch.

Notifications remain in the list until you either dismiss or reply to them:

- Open and dismiss: open a notification by tapping on it, then either swipe down from the top of the screen or tap on Dismiss.

- Dismiss from the list view: swipe left on the notification, then tap on Clear.

- Reply to a message: tap to open it, then tap on Reply.

To view a conversation on your Apple Watch, open the Messages app:

- Go to the Home screen (a single press on the Digital Crown) > Messages > tap on a conversation in the list.
