Error message 7(windows error message127)

I work on a Windows10 platform(auto upgrade from8.1). I had no problems with opening iTunes. Recently there was a message to update to iTunes 12.3.1. However after updation I wasn't able to open iTunes and got the following message: "entry point AVCF player set multichannel audio strategy could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\pragram files\iTunes\itunescore.dll." and Error message 7(windows error message127) "iTunes was not installed properly, please reinstall iTunes".

I reinstalled iTunes by downloading but in the message "repair" and "remove" I opted "repair" , yet the problem persists and I'm unable to open iTunes on my computer

Hi uroprabhakar,
I understand that you received an error 7 message and are unable to open iTunes. That is something that I can help you out with.
Now what you will want to do is remove iTunes and other software in order that the article below lists. Once you have done that, reinstall iTunes and it will work for you. All of your iTunes data will still be there as the uninstall does not touch your media files.

Let me know if this helps.
Have a good day
