Q: Can't verify my iCloud because of wrong phone number

Hi all,

 

I am trying to set up iCloud on my MacBook, but it keeps sending the verification password to a phone number  had when I lived in another country. How can I change this? Many thanks in advance,

    From your post, it sounds like the phone number listed under Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced may be the wrong phone number. You can navigate to this setting and correct the phone number if needed. 

     

    Make sure that the correct phone number is associated with your account:

    • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. (In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain.) Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
