Cannot adjust datarate in Compressor

Cannot adjust datarate in Compressor on my new MacBookPro. In QuickTime settings (type H.264) it always goes back to 9765 kbits/sec, whatever value I put in. It works fine on my older MacBookPro. What's wrong? Have tried to re-install Compressor, but no. Thankful for help. Regards Svante

In the Inspector change Data Rate to Custom. Click the Change button to the right of QuickTime Settings. Type the new rate into the Field next to Restrict to.
