Loops won't LOOP!

Hi,

I'm using GarageBand version 10.1. Whenever I move my cursor to the end of a loop to get it to repeat, nothing happens. The round symbol that suggests that a loop will start again doesn't appear. Instead, I get a square bracket that will let me lengthen a loop--but that's not what I'm after.

Is there any way to correct this?

Right now, I'm editing my work and repeatedly pasting the loop I want to use into my project. (I'm working on a podcast and want one section to have the same background noise.)

Is there a setting that I need to change somewhere so that I can get a loop to repeat the way it did in my previous version(s) of Garageband?
