Have iPhone 4S and abruptly began receiving error message "Cannot Get Mail - The user name or password for "imap.cox.net" is incorrect" when trying to access Cox Webmail. However, the same user name and p/w continue to work on other devices. Tried deleting, then adding the account back but with same resulting error message.

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.1

I see you are getting an error message that your user name or password for your Cox email is incorrect. The following support article would be the place to start tons sort this out.

You might try going to Settings > Safari > Passwords and either delete the saved password or create a new password.

Another thing to try is Settings > Safari > Clear History and Web Site Data...

Beyond that how come your using Cox webmail versus setting up your Cox email account in the native iPhone email app?
