    Hello there, George.

It sounds like you wand to know why you cannot install iCloud client on your Windows 10 computer. The following Knowledge Base article provides some clarification on that topic:

    Download iCloud for Windows

iCloud for Windows currently supports Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013. If you use Outlook 2016, you can access iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendars on iCloud.com.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

    Cheers.

It seems iCloud relies so heavily upon functionality, present in Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013 that was removed/altered in Outlook 2016, that attempting to uninstall iCloud 4.x with Outlook 2016 being the most recently installed version of Outlook is impossible.  You will find yourself repeatedly running into error 2343.  If you are using Office 365, you can uninstall Office 2016, install Office 2013 (it is available through the My Account page on Microsoft's Office website, but you will need to do the other languages/versions options to find it).  At this point, you will need to sign into iCloud, if you had signed out previously, re-enable the Outlook interoperability with contacts, calendar, and tasks, and then sign out of iCloud.  You can then safely uninstall iCloud without the seemingly endless error 2343 rearing its head.  You will need to sign into iCloud once more after installing iCloud 5.  You cannot upgrade Office to the 2016 version (or, Outlook must remain at version 2013, at a minimum) if you wish to use the full integration of your calendar, contacts, and tasks with Outlook or if you wish to upgrade iCloud in the future.  That is, all of this is the case until something changes in future versions of iCloud and/or Outlook, but you will still have to uninstall the last version of iCloud having problems with Outlook 2016 prior to trying to upgrade to some first future good version of iCloud not encountering this problem.

    Hi Pedro,

Yes , i saw that too. It's interesting that the date last modified is the 26th Okt.!!

But one thing is still not said! Apple "shot the bird" like we use to say over here.

Since icloud 5.0 is not working with Office 2016, why, really why do they pop up the updater on Win 10!!??

I mean icloud 4.x  was working with 2016!

so there is a way to prevent this whole problem, but they have to write the code and ask if 2016 is installed! Of course this costs e view minutes of they're precious time!

So now we have to wait an see with what they will come up in a view months...
