Q: App developer does not respond to troubleshooting messages - what can I do?

I am having a problem with Chronicle - personal journal for ipad app. For some reason the password does not work and I cannot access the content. There is no any option for password recovery, and I tried several times to contact the developer but he never responded. I tried to delete and download the app again, as its content is backed up on icloud. But when I restore the content from backup, it still requires a password. I have so many of my writings stored in Chronicle, so I am at complete loss now. What can I do to access the content of the app??
