We don't know, we don't have your iPad. If I had to guess, it's because it's woefully out of date, as the current iOS is 9.0. It could be the result of extensions you've added to Safari that are not compatible with one as outdated as what you're using. You need to give us more to go on than just "it crashes."
I realize that iOS is outdated. I have ruled out my router due to being able to access and view video on my Dell laptop that crashes on iPad. As far as extensions, I am not tech savvy enough to know what you are suggesting as a possible cause. I can close all running apps and still have a problem with crashing. I don't know what other info you may need in order to suggest a knowledgable solution.
Try going to Settings/Safari and clear history and website data.
Thanks for your response Eric. I did as you suggested to no avail. If you have other ideas I would be appreciative.
1. Shut down all program running in background by double clicking the home button and swipe the programs up.
2. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
WAY TO GO ERIC!! That worked. I certainly appreciate your help and kindness. Am I doing something wrong to get in crash state in first place? If this is unanswerable, that's OK. Again thanks very much and have a great day!
