how to open jpg files using preview , i can"t open it.
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
What happens when you try?
Can you open the .jpg's with another app?

Is Preview your default viewer? Control-click the jpeg you want to open, then select "Get Info."
Under "Open With," make sure it says Preview. It could be trying to open with a different program.
