Q: Do I loose photos on my iCloud if I update to iCloud Drive?
I Have lots of precious photos on my iCloud and I don't wish to loose them. It's about time I update to iCloud Drive but I just want to make sure I won't loose them before I update.

Not clear what you mean by "my iCloud." Photos have never been stored and displayed on iCloud except in iCloud Drive. They are stored within the device backup, but can't be viewed there and this is entirely separate - won't lose them (and they won't become loose) when using iCloud Drive.
