Q: Heart rate issue

Apple Watch not sending heart rate information to iPhone Activity app when 'other' workout is chosen. Heart rate information does sync when 'outdoor run' is selected though.

iPhone 6, Apple Watch also

    Hi there Jessica,

It sounds like you are selecting an 'Other' workout on your watch, but nothing goes to your phone, whereas 'Outdoor Run' works fine. It's hard to say which one is the culprit here, your phone or your watch, so lets begin by restarting your watch:

    Restart your Apple Watch

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204510

    Restart your Apple Watch

    1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely.
    3. After you turn off your Apple Watch, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

Then quit the Activity Monitor and Settings apps on your phone:

Force an app to close in iOS
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
