Apple Pay: Any Card?
If a vendor accepts Apple Pay...but they don't take your preferred card for payment...does apple pay still work?
Apple Pay does not change which cards a merchant accepts.

Yes, Apple Pay still works. You can place your iPhone (or Apple Watch) by the Apple Pay scanner, and have your card read. But you will be told "Card rejected" or something similar.
