That would be one way to not have a $121 stock . There are knock off power cords, but I wouldn't recommend them.

I think he means the 'other end' - the MagSafe bit should be detachable.

But I doubt he thought it through.  Why would a company make a unit where the whole thing needs replacing if part of it broke, I wonder...
