Nov 7, 2015 11:02 AM in response to edivonby CarlAnders,Hi,
I have the same problem on my ATV 4.
I also experience problems when I want to show many more pictures, after about 10 pics the ATV 4 returs to the "start slideshow" screen... Why?
I use home sharing and I have a lot of pictures in that folder structure. The folder I'm trying to display have about 600 pics but in the whole of the shared folders there are about 40.000 pics.
I hope Apple really soon look into this problems.
/Anders

Nov 7, 2015 11:01 AM in response to edivonby Winston Churchill,A number of other users have also noted this, I myself have been able to reproduce it on larger albums, I therefore assume it is a bug and will ultimately be addressed by Apple in forthcoming software updates.

Nov 7, 2015 3:45 PM in response to Winston Churchillby edivon,Yes, I notice now for Ken Burns and Classic that 2 & 3 second slides keep playing, but 5 seconds halts after 7 slides, 10 seconds after 4 and 20 seconds after 2.
Points to a bug, all right.
Let´s hope for a quick remedy.

Dec 9, 2015 2:14 PM in response to edivonby edivon,The 9.1 update seems to have fixed the problem with Classic and Ken Burns dying after 40 secs.
The random appearance of images in the slide show still remains though.
Kind of loosing faith in these people. :-( -
Dec 10, 2015 9:41 AM in response to edivonby mandrieu,Yep, those issues remain after upgrading to 9.1 as far as I can tell. The random pics keep coming up. In addition, in my ATV2 or 3 I am able to select a pic in an album and play the slideshow from that point. In ATV 4 it starts from the first photo no matter what. That hasn't been fixed either.

Jan 3, 2016 8:59 AM in response to edivonby CarlAnders,Issues with slideshow on ATV4
Issues remain after upgrading ATV 4 to 9.1 and iTunes to 12.3.2.35, as far as I can tell:
- The random pictures keep coming up. When I try to view an album (Home sharing) it will pick the pictures totally random, not in order of date or according to the chosen sorting order in my picture map.
- In my ATV2 or 3, I am able to select a picture in an album and play the slideshow from that point. In ATV 4 it starts from the first photo no matter what.
- For Ken Burns and Classic the 2 & 3 second slides keep playing, but 5 seconds halts after 7 slides, 10 seconds after 4 slides and 20 seconds after 2 slides.
Since I still have Apple Care (the free 90 days) I called Apple Support regarding these matters.
They advised me to:
- Make sure I have the latest program update on both ATV 4 and iTunes on the computer (which I of course had checked before the call…) (the computer runs Windows 10)
- turn off home sharing on the computer
- restart my ATV 4
- turn on home sharing on the computer
- 1-4 above did not solve the issues
- Make a complete reset, Settings-System-Reset
- You then have to configure your ATV 4 again as if it was the first setup
- These actions (6-7) solved A & C above J
- B is probably a bug. Apple investigates this further and will contact me within 2 or 3 days with more info.

Jan 3, 2016 9:16 AM in response to CarlAndersby edivon,I´ve done all these steps and, yes A&C are OK for a while after doing this.
But the problem reappears after a while. :-(

Jan 3, 2016 9:58 AM in response to CarlAndersby mandrieu,Thanks CarlAnders. Unfortunately, same as Edivon, I've done all those things, and issues A and C seem to work fine for a while... then the problems re appear. Maybe Apple should get to work and fix this subpar product instead of asking paying customers to do exorcism or black magic... Apologies for the ranting

Jan 3, 2016 11:17 AM in response to edivonby CarlAnders,Hi again, after how long time (approx) will the problems re appear?
It has just be a few hours, som mine works fine so far.
I will monitor this and make sure to inform my new contact at Apple Support if the issues re appear.
As I understod it the support team was aware about A&C but not about B. I was connected to a "senior" advisor...
Let's see what's next...
Keep you posted...
/Anders
