How do I remove the sound from an iphone video once I download it to my photos?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

I do it with Quicktime Player 7 and Quicktime Pro. Bring up the Properties window, select the Sound track and hit the delete key. If you want to keep the audio but mute it just uncheck its checkbox and save.

You might try downloading QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later and see if you can bring up the Properties window and delete the sound track without Quicktime Pro. There are other movie edition apps that could do the job. iMovie might be able to but I don't use it so can't advise on that.
