My computer is running slow after a power outage. What can I do?

Try booting into Safe Mode Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support

Also try resetting the SMC Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support You may need to reset it two or three times.
