Q: Music & Video Playback freezes when downloading or web surfing
The subject is pretty much self explanatory. I have been having this issue for yeas now. When listening to music through iTunes (offline music) and loading a web page on Firefox, music freezes for a second every now and then until the web page completely loads. The same thing happens when downloading itunes content (for example app updates). Although, it rarely happens when downloading content on uTorrent.
This issue also occurs when playing (offline) podcasts video (usually 720p or below). This problem still exists after formatting my pc to Win10 and upgrading to an SSD drive. I own an Intel Dual Core Duo with 4 Gb of RAM, which is more than enough to playback HD videos, music and surfing the web at the same time! I never had similar issues in the past when I was using Windows Media Player.
This problem is 100% iTunes related and regardless of its version (it's always up to date). Lowering the music bitrate to 16bit, 48 Khz, kind of made the freezing issues less obvious, but it's definitely still there and very annoying. I listen to music through a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro soundcard, which sure is dated but way better than any onboard sound card out there. I've also tried every iTunes setting I could think of, without any luck.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
