Q: How do i check the balance of an itunes gift card.

I have two iTunes gift cards and want to give them to a relative. How do I check to see if I have used them already without redeeming them?

You can't without trying to redeem them and seeing if it works. Do they still have the silver strips on them covering their codes ? If not then that probably means that you've redeemed them (unless you always remove the strip), but the only way to be sure is to see if redeeming them gives an error

    Thanks for the quick response.

     

    I don't particularly like the answer and I think it's stupid that apple doesn't have a way to check without redeeming. But, that's what I have come to learn about apple.
