I would like to use this old computer for internet use only. I have my router connected to the computer through an ethernet cable but cannot connect. The only application the computer has for internet is Internet Explorer 5. Do I need to somehow upgrade the OS system in order to get things going or would anyone know what my next step should be? Help!

For OS X install discs, you need to find and/or purchase the original Apple retail OS install discs for either 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard.
These may or may not be cheap to obtain.
I have a PowerMac G4 tower running OS 9.2.1.
