Helio and Help

Usually I download my messages to my apple MacBook retina, with Mail. The other day I switch on my old MacBook (withe) and because I was working with wireless on, all the messages I have in the new computer migrate to the new one.

How can I indo this situation? Can I send back all the mais for my new computer?

Thanks for helping...

You'll likely find that all your emails currently exist on both your computers - so they should still be there on your new computer as well as the old one. If you don't want email on the old computer you can simply turn off the email account on that computer in Mail>Preferences>Accounts tab and deselect 'Enable this account'.

Do you know it the email account is an IMAP account, rather than a POP account? In Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Account Information, what is noted against 'Account Type' - IMAP or POP?

If it is an IMAP account, the e-mails should download on both computers. Have you checked for new e-mails on the new computer?

In theory, if the accounts are both setup as IMAP on each computer, with the exact same login credentials and with the account enabled on each computer the emails should be available on both devices.

Worth double-checking that all the login credentials are exactly the same on both Macs and that 'Enable this account' is ticked in Mail>Preferences>Accounts. That's how I'm setup on two Macs and both have exactly the same emails showing.

Yes. And everytime I work in the old computer If I open Mail, every mail I have on the new computer migrante to the old one, and no one stay at my new computer. And plus, if the mails go the old one, the mails on the iPhone go to.

Unfortunately I can't see a reason why your are experiencing this behaviour with Mail - but as a workaround you could simply disable the account in Mail on the old MacBook.

For many years I have the old Mac (white) and the iPhone, and I have the mails on both devices. As I introduce this one, it happens the same, but after I download the Capitán....problems !
