ATV 4 not outputting full dynamic range even when told to do so

I have two brand new ATV 4's that will not output full dynamic range in dolby digital even when set to "full dynamic range". The loud noises are muted even when the ATV4 is set to "full dynamic range". I can hook my ATV 3 back up without changing any settings for volume and play the same sequence in the movie and the ATV 3 outputs the full bass and loud noises like there supposed to be played. This is a bug with the ATV 4 and is a deal breaker for me. It is not my settings on my receiver or any other settings it is the ATV 4 that is causing this issue. It is modifying the bitstream and changing the dynamic output of the dolby digital content.

This needs to be fixed.

I have, did that first but, I also think this issues needs more exposure on this support forum. More noise needs to be made about this issues somehow because obviously just submitting feedback hasn't worked so far.

Mechanic43 said that Apple engineering acknowledged the issue and submitted it to be fixed. That was back in December and we've had a major OS update since then and still no fix! I'm going to stop purchasing/renting movies from iTunes until this issue is fixed. I have a good sounding HT system and I love the Apple TV 4 except for this one nagging issue. I just want it to sound as good as other options out there, like Vudu from my TV or PS4.
