Photobook exported to PDF: total mess

Thank you for answer.

I created new empty library, imported the same photos (jpegs), created first few pages of the same photobook "modern lines", but there is no difference. In photos app it looks OK, but PDF is screwed.

This is how it looks in Photos app:

And this is resulting PDF:

They can be edited with no problems.

I tried to edit and save those missing ones and one not missing, exported to pdf again, and:

• the photobook editor reflects all changes
• in the PDF, there is still no background image on page 3 (screenshot: "missing background")
• in the PDF, the "missing image" appeared

I created new library in another user account, imported those photos and the results were the same as on screenshots above, i.e. missing background and some images.

I also tried to put different images to the "missing spots" and some of them appeared (background on page 3), some of them not (image on page 5).

So I reinstalled El Capitan, but nothing changed 😟

No, I do not use any cleaning or optimizing apps.

I will probably open old good Aperture, because - for me - nearest Genius bar is several hundred kilometres far in different country.

But thank you for patience and support.

Internal, HFS+ journaled, not case-sensitive (default options).
